Cooking, preserving, food gardening
Learn from Nicholas Kemp, at your level
Cook food to eat or preserve farm-grown produce to take home
At different times of the year, we either harvest or purchase a local farmer’s, produce and make and preserve a variety of different foods. There is nothing like farm-grown food, transformed and stored for that perfect moment when fresh food is not available, you open up your food room and it is well-stocked. Learn new skills, techniques and, of course, take some jars of joy home with you!

Know what you may expect
Can I choose what we cook or preserve?
Probably. It depends on what is fresh and available at the time. I do not have an medical or self-imposed food restrictions, so if you do, my cooking repertoire is limited. Most pastes, jams, fruit and vegetable preservation does not involve any animal products.
Meat is always available so lovers of beef jerky are not susceptible to the same limitations. Yes, we can make amazing jerky!
What if I am terrible in the kitchen?
That’s why Nicholas will be with you every step of the way. He is possibly the best housewife in NSW, is of eastern European descent, and is willing to assign you the simplest tasks and tell the rest of your family that it was all you!
May children or people with special needs be included?
As long as they are capable of not cutting or burning themselves, I will trust them if you do. Nicholas has professional experience teaching children, adults, professionals, and special needs i.e. ADHD, autism, AuDHD and Asperger’s. Homogeneity of the group is not a requirement.

When we say “Tailor your experience”, we mean it. This is your time and you can modify your experience at any time. Although it takes time to plan and prepare for any additional tasks, we adapt to any change you desire.

Can I take videos and photographs?
As screens prevent tasks from being done, disrupt activities/processes, we prefer to keep screen time to a minimum. By taking photographs at the beginning and end of activities, no-one is interrupted and your memories will be preserved forever.
